For some information on how to start building HTML Help (.chm) files, see:

As a minimum, you'll need Microsoft's free HTML Help Workshop, which is
available from the URL I mention in the page above. I'd particularly
recommend that you get Char James-Tanny's tutorial on HTML Help Workshop,
which should make using the program a little easier.

HTML Help Workshop provides fairly basic authoring facilities, which is why
most people go for tools like RoboHelp, Doc-To-Help, or Help & Manual. For
